The Hunger Games Fever!

  Archery is popular today in the U.S. because a lot of American people have been affected by The Hunger Games. According to the article, teenagers are gaga for archery. Especially, archery is popular among young girls. The Statesman Journal reports, “Heroine Katniss seems to resonate more with girls”.

  In the Hunger Games, Katniss is like young and strong girl. When she was fighting, she was using bow& arrow. So, young girls want to be Katniss. Therefore they are starting archery. In the article, Paul Haines who salesman said,“All of a sudden sales of bows have, like, tripled” Bow sales rise across the country.

  As a result, archery is loved by young children and many audiences!

The Hunger Games Fan Tours!

Both the book and film of The Hunger Games has been a big hit in the U.S. There are a lot of Hunger Games fans in the U.S. Now, a company called Fun Tours has opened for many fans in North Carolina. Everyone can visit the filming location of the Hunger Games. Also you can experience a world that was actually in the movie. This tour’s title is the Hunger Games Fan Tours Adventure Weekend. This tour is best suited for adults. If you are under the age of 18, you must be accompanied by an adult. In this tour, you participate for three days and two nights at Earthshine Mountain Lodge. First day, you will be part of the lottery and get separated into your own District. The next day, you will learn about survival skills, for example, archery, sling shot, training and camouflage. On the final day, you’ll convene for a Hunger Games Simulation. The tour even includes a competition. If you win the game, you can get a prize!

 This tour’s price is $389. The dates are April 27-29, June 8-10, June 22-24, July 27-29, August24-26 and September 21-23. We can choose dates in that schedule. Pow Wow!

 I took part in the Pow Wow on Saturday. Pow Wow is Native American festival. I entered to a gym, there were a lot of people in side. Almost people were wearing the colorful costume. When I saw the man, he was painting his face. His face is white. And his costume looked like a bird because he put on bird wing on his hair and his back. And I saw the women .They was wearing colorful costume. They wore red, blue, green and pink costume and so on. Then they were dancing in a circle. At the time, I heard the tinkle of a bell. It was very comfortable to me. In the Pow Wow, everyone took part in it from adult to child. They looked so fun. By the way, I heard the men and women were singing a song. They beat a drum. I felt it was powerful sounds. I thought the song is traditional songs. I did not know what they said but I like that rhythm.

 After that, I was shopping there. There were some shops in Pow Wow. For example, cloth, watch, bag, and straps. Then I found a buffalo teeth. I was very surprised. By the way, I bought accessories. It was very cheap price so I was very happy.

 Finally, I felt Pow Wow is indispensable festival to learn American culture.

 Pow Wow is my precious experience.
